Hello dear friends and family, and welcome to the wedding blog of Butch! Hoffman and Megan Logsdon. This is important info, so if you are coming, read down.
So here is the plan for the hoe-down next weekend:
Friday – at 2PM, we will go on a canoe trip on either the Chickahominy River or the James River. I have enough canoe space for 18 people. I need to know by Monday whether that is enough canoe space. Please let me know if you will be canoeing with us (and make sure to bring a bathing suit). This will be an all day trip (pack food, dock the boats and play or hike, etc.). Canoe rental is $5 per person, and you must provide your own beer, food, bug spray, etc.
Saturday – wedding at 5:30! There will be a music creation station with washboards, jugs, etc. provided. Please bring any instruments (no guitars) with you. Ukeleles, fiddles, accordions, and other quirky instruments preferred!
Sunday – At 11-12ish, we will head to the Williamsburg Winery for a tour and tasting. The tour is $8 and you get to keep your wineglass at the end of the tasting.
Tents-
If you are arriving before Friday, I will not have a place for you to stay. Please make the necessary arrangements beforehand. I was hoping to get a lot of 1,2,3 person tents so that people didn’t have to share, but it did not work out that way. If you have a tent, please bring it. If you have multiple tents and you don’t mind sharing, please bring them. If you were interested in buying one before you came, that may be best. Speak up now if you need one. The tents I was able to rent for Friday and Saturday night are as follows:
1 1-person tent $6/night
1 2-person tent $6/night
2 4-person tents $9/night
1 5-person tent $9/night
1 6-person tent $9/night
What to bring if you are camping:
Towel, Sleeping bag/covers/pillow, sunscreen, insect repellent, Clean underwear

Copper Ridge bluegrass band !!!
So the band playing at our wedding will be Copper Ridge !!! They are a local bluegrass band and you can check out their music at http://copperridgebluegrass.com/
We are very excited to have them and look forward to a great show. Support them by buying a cd before the wedding. Have a listen to it so you know the songs when they play. I would also recommend watching some youtube videos of bluegrass dancing so you know how to strut your stuff on 8/29.
